Position Title: Sales Representative

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time

Hours of Work: Typically M-F, 8-5 (Occasional after hours work may be required)

Relevant Work Experience: 3 to 5 Years

AbleIT is seeking an experienced, passionate B2B Sales Representative responsible for selling IT products and services offered by our company. The outside sales representative will reach his or her sales targets through effective identification and management of prospects/leads and existing clients. This individual will also develop ongoing relationships with customers and continually maintain a professional image of the company.


Integrity, passion, listening, effective communication, presentation, creativity, analytical and selling skills are a must for this job. Essential qualities also include being friendly, persuasive, outgoing, goal-oriented and committed to providing quality customer service. The right team member will possess the ability to multi-task, have experience with a CRM system to track leads and sales and be self-motivated. The role will require to assess current business requirements and propose creative technological solutions to resolve them. 

Position Description

We are looking for a passionate person with a strong desire to sell IT (Information Technology) products and services to small/medium sized businesses (short list):


  • Network Consulting, Infrastructure Design and Deployment (Strategy and Planning)
  • Server and Virtualization Technologies
  • Storage Technologies 
  • Advanced Server Replication and Failover Technologies (Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Services)
  • Support and Maintenance Services
  • Cloud Computing Services
  • Security Services
  • Hardware and Software Procurement
  • Custom Software Development

Minimum Qualifications

  • Possess a post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Marketing, or an acceptable combination of education and experience
  • Three years of direct work experience in an external sales capacity 
  • Proven sales track record with the development of new clients into long lasting customers
  • Must own a clean, reliable vehicle and have a valid driver’s license

Computer and Technology Knowledge

  • General understanding of IT (computer systems and network infrastructure)
  • Microsoft Office Suite of Products
  • Familiar with various Contact Management Software for driving sales

Hours of Work

  • The candidate will be based out of the Edmonton Office and will normally work regular business hours. 
  • The candidate may be called upon to work occasional evenings and weekends as required.
